Our Mission

Japan has been said to be the second largest economic power in the world. However, when it comes to Japan's art market, its small size does not begin to reflect the status of Japan's overall economic power. There are many reasons for this; however, the lack of a "market" that is economically viable could be the main reason. Since there are only inexperienced art business players that work for a limited numbers of collectors, the environment that works to familiarize the public about the art market has been lacking
The temporary and sudden booming of the art market during the bubble in the 1980's aptly reveals this structure. You might be surprised to hear that very often art by U.S. artists would sell for a price that was 2-3 times more than the market price in New York 10-20 years ago.
On the other hand, in Japan recently there are people who raise objections to standardized values and materialism. The desire to choose from a variety of values and lifestyles that is most suitable to each individual is rapidly on the rise in the Japan. This Phenomenon is noticeably obvious in the art scene. e.g.., the Japanese art scene has been rapidly invigorated by the opening of the Mori Museum and other museum which exhibits modern art, as well as the worldwide popularity of Japanese authors such as Takashi Murakami, Yoshitomo Nara and so on.
@ Gallery Tagboat's business is accelerating because it has created a business structure that establishes a true art market where a wide variety of people can comfortably own, purchase and sell art at ease.
In order to create such a market, there must be an environment with judgment functions in place, and there must also be open and fair pricing and distribution systems. The environment will invite more participants to the market and create a positive cycle.
@ Gallery Tagboat hopes that people will understand that our mission is to establish an art market in Japan and World, diffuse art to the public, and establish a firm business partnership with its customers.

Our mission is to create and nurture new enterprises based on market-out concept and launch them into society. Unlike conventional ventures setting their goal at initial public offering, companies developed in M-out Inc aim to grow into such a mega-company that is listed on the first section of Tokyo Stock Exchange and exert a positive influence on the society. Companies that leave the nest at M-out Inc will blossom into new industrial leaders, taking the Japanese economy into a new growth orbit. M-out Inc contributes to the society by vitalizing the Japanese economy and creating new employment opportunities.

Our business model

New business begins when an entrepreneur is matched with a business seed in M-out Inc. M-out provides the business with a wide range of supports including finance, humane resources, management know-how and executive training to lead the business to a success. When the business grows to a certain level, M-out will exit from the business in stages by selling a portion of ownership in the stock market or to another company. Dividends on stocks and profits on the sale of stocks will be re-invested in new projects and businesses. This is how we focus our management resources on star-up stage and accumulate management know-how for start-ups.
