"Born 1962 in Tokyo, Homma worked six years from 1985 for Light Publicity before moving to London, where he was involved in fashion culture magazine 'iD'. Since coming back to Japan, he has been actively working in the magazine and advertisement industries. In 1999, his photo collection 'TOKYO SUBURBIA', pictures of suburban landscapes of Tokyo and children living there and published by Korin Shuppan in 1998, won the 24th Kimura Ihei Award. Since 1998, he has been holding numerous solo exhibitions including 'TOKYO SUBURBIA' at Parco Gallery in Tokyo and Nagoya from 1998 to 1999, 'Iceland' at Gallery 360 in 1998 and 'TOKYO SUBURBIA' at Winterthur Photo Museum (Switzerland) in 2000. He also published numerous photo collections, including 'Kiwameteyoi-fukei' (Littelemore 2004), which followed the everyday life of a legendary photographer, Takuma Nakahira. He also directed the film with the same title.
