"Born in Tokyo in 1962.<\n>He dropped out of Nihon University College of Art (Photography course). After then, he got the job for an advertising agency, Light Publicity, to work there for 6 years. From 1991 to 199 2, he was in London, where he worked for a fashion and culture magazine for young people, i-D. After he came back to Japan, he had his photography shows under the titles as ¡ÈWaves¡É, ¡ÈLandscapes of suburbs¡É, ¡ÈAerial Photography¡É, and ¡ÈChildren in Tokyo¡É. In 1998, he received the 24th annual Ihei Kimura Photography Award for ¡ÈTOKYO SUBURBIA ¡Ý Tokyo Kogai¡É, in which he took pictures of the sceneries of the suburbs of Tokyo and the people living there. In 2003, he published ¡ÈKiwamete Yoi Fukei (extremely nice sceneries) ¡Ý SHORT HOPE, Takuma Nakahira¡É, which is the photo book of the legendary photographer, Takuma Nakahira in his daily life. He also directed the movie of the same title consequently. In June, 2007, he will exhibit the latest version of on-going project, ¡ÈWaves¡É at two venues of Logos Gallery in Shibuya PARCO and Gallery 360¡ë in Aoyama. His photo collection of ¡ÈWaves¡É was published as well."
