Biography / Exhibition / Publication

"Her works carry a sense of warmth, softness using delicate textured materials such as Japanese paper, cloth and thread.
She shows great draughtsman, describing the people and scenes in daily life with sharp and simple lines. Casual action such as crouching, putting hands in the pocket or cleaning are drawn with minimal lines on various soft paper collected from all over the world which are then composed with collage and thread.

In her abstract paintings, she still concentrates on material itself and even starts from preparing her own canvases instead of ready-made canvas. She has noted that when she portrays her friend, the portrait becomes realistic but in case of strangers, the portraits take on an abstract feel. This, she believes is due to everyday life obscuring her images. Her unique expression stimulates our imagination.
