人魚と漁港 The fishing port with mermaid

コロナ禍における〈アマビエ〉のような存在を描きたいと思い、半魚人的なイメージを描いた。
人魚というモチーフは、人と魚の〈狭間〉を行き来する者として、どっちつかずであったり、白でも黒でもない中立的な存在感が、個人的に強く興味を引き付ける。
画面の奥では、黄昏時の陽の光を浴びて輝く山々と対象的に、倒れこむ老人の姿も描き込まれ、どこか不穏な気配も感じさせる。

I wanted to draw an existence like "Amabie" in the corona disaster, so I drew the image of a half-fish man.
The mermaid motif has a presence that seems to go back and forth between humans and fish, and I am strongly attracted to it.
A fallen old man is depicted in the background of the painting, creating a disturbing atmosphere.

1995年栃木県生まれ
2018年多摩美術大学卒業
2019年に愛知県立芸術大学研究生を経て、2023年東京藝術大学大学院修了

“自己の内的イメージを掘り下げ、この世界の有り様を捉えること” をテーマに、〈シート壁画〉から、手製本した〈本〉の作品まで、技法や素材にとらわれない幅広い表現活動をおこなう。
