バベル再起動「ロボット時代の幕開け」 Babel Reboots 「The Dawn of the Robot Era」

ブリューゲル『バベルの塔』をモチーフに、同サイズの画面に世界百カ国の紙幣をコラージュし水金箔とアクリルで仕上げた作品。

紙幣で描くとはどういう事か。
様々な「紙幣の色」を絵の具の色としてバベルの塔の色の「明暗、色相、彩度」に意識して振り分けてカット、コラージュする事で画面を作っています。紙幣の色をそのまま使うので、作画は紙幣を選ぶ作業が最も困難で時間が掛かる。

紙幣は様々な色、模様があり、国、大陸、民族性によって色の傾向が別れて居るのも興味深い。世界百カ国の紙幣をカットした労働者200人強をコラージュし、バベルの塔が1つの言語で構築された神話を現代的な視点で表現しています。

雲は「垂らし込み」という俵屋宗達が得意とする琳派の技法を使用。

本作は、コロナ禍前の2019年に制作開始
「BABEL AGAIN? King of the mirror」として発表後、
加筆をへて完成。
タイトル= 「ロボット時代の幕開け」は、Aiの社会実装の開始、人型ロボットの登場と、人類史上最も大きなインパクトを与えると思われる技術革新が起こる今を捉えるため、BABELシリーズに加えたテーマです。
王様の取り巻きの(ホワイトカラー)と肉体労働者(ブルーカラー)を、ロボットに置き換え。
ロボットは水金箔=金属で描写。

王の周辺のロボットの作画に生成Aiを使用。
社会実装寸前のロボット達は
Tesla 「Optimus」、BMW「Figure 02」、Boston Dynamics「Atlas」、Apptronik「Apollo」。

人間が発明したロボットが、労働者として働く21世紀は『Ai×ロボット』時代の幕開けとして歴史に刻まれる時代となるでしょう。

Using Bruegel's "The Tower of Babel" as a motif, this work is a collage of banknotes from a hundred countries around the world on a screen of the same size, finished in acrylic and water gold leaf.

What does it mean to paint with banknotes?
The colors of the various banknotes are used as the colors of the paint to create a screen by consciously allocating the "lightness, darkness, hue, and saturation" of the colors of the Tower of Babel, cutting, and collaging the color of the banknotes. Since the colors of the banknotes are used as they are, the most difficult and time-consuming part of the drawing process is selecting the banknotes.

It is interesting to note that banknotes come in a wide variety of colors and patterns, and that the colors tend to vary according to country, continent, and ethnicity. The collage of just over 200 workers who have cut banknotes from a hundred countries around the world gives a contemporary perspective to the myth of the Tower of Babel being constructed in a single language.

The clouds are made using a Rimpa school technique called "Tarashikomi," a specialty of Sotatsu Tawaraya.

This work will begin production in 2019 before the Corona Disaster
After the work was published as "BABEL AGAIN King of the mirror",
After some additions, the work was completed.
Title="The Dawn of the Robot Era" is the theme I added to the BABEL series in order to capture the most impactful technological revolution in human history, with the start of the social implementation of Ai and the emergence of humanoid robots.
The king's cronies (white collar) and manual laborers (blue collar) are replaced by robots.
The robots are depicted in water gilt = metal.

Generated Ai was used to draw the robots around the king.
The robots on the verge of social implementation are
Tesla "Optimus", BMW "Figure 02", Boston Dynamics "Atlas", and Apptronik "Apollo".

The 21st century, in which robots invented by humans will work as workers, will go down in history as the dawn of the "Ai x Robot" era.

◆21世紀の偶像美術
私は最も古い美術、神々や精霊信仰を形にした偶像美術を、21世紀の美術に変換しています。
作品は古代から現代の無数のシンボルで構成され、世界の美術、神話、サブカルチャー、現代の通貨システムなど様々です。
合成された作品は、作者自身でも解けない謎の様になる傾向があります。
20世紀は神と科学が交代した時代です。では、21世紀に人間は何を信仰しているのでしょう。
信仰は社会やシステム、有名人や映画、ゲーム、キャラクター、ファッションやライフスタイルに姿を変え、人間はそれらを消費する事で信仰しています。
私が偶像と捉える範囲は広く、国家や通貨交換システムなど、人が信仰する対象は全て偶像としてモチーフになります。
21世紀の偶像とは私達の鏡像でもあるのです

◆瞑想
人類が共有する暗黙知は、現代に於いてまだ開かれつつある過程であり、創作においてそれを開示する手段として、私は自己催眠や瞑想、チャネリングを用いたビジョナリーセッション、言語セッションを行います。そこに現れる世界や存在と、私の交感作用で作品は命を持ちます。

◆作品と表現
彫刻の漫画的な表現は、ドローイングが起点です。デジタルモデリングと塑像で、現代のプリミティブな表現を追及しています。
絵画は瞑想の幻視を具象と抽象の境界線上で表現しています。
コンセプチャル作品では、作品を創造する起点としての視覚創造と行為の関係性に注目します。
結果、プロセスの創造が芸術作品としての結果を生むという概念に注目した作品を進行しています。
主に紙幣や通貨制度、浮世絵や世界の古典美術を素材に世界の生成プロセスについて表現しています。

◆タルタロス
タルタロスはギリシャ神話の、地底神の名称です。世界中の神話に共通して現れる生命が誕生し、還る世界です。
東西で文明は分離しても、地底では統合されたひとつの世界=地球文明がTARTAROS (地底)で繋がっている象徴が創作の背景にある事を暗示しています。
近代個人主義から解放された視点で美術の根源的な力を示すための私のシンボルネームです。

Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture　
As a figure prototype maker, he has created many prototypes for figure makers in Japan. In his 40s, a mystical experience through meditation led him to become a contemporary artist. He has exhibited a series of paintings and prints made of banknote material, idol sculptures, Automatic Painting, and meditative paintings on the themes of historical civilization and idolatry from a spiritual perspective.
His curatorial works include "VR Crafts: Today's Temple" and "Next Landscape," both of which utilize VR technology. Lives and works in Okinawa.

◆Iconic art of the 21st century
I am transforming the most ancient art, idol art in the form of belief in gods and spirits, into art of the 21st century.
The works are composed of a myriad of ancient and contemporary symbols, varying from world art, mythology, subcultures, and contemporary monetary systems.
The synthesized works tend to be like riddles that even the artist himself cannot solve.
The 20th century was a time when God and science took turns. So what do people believe in in the 21st century?
Faith is transformed into societies, systems, celebrities, movies, games, characters, fashions, and lifestyles, which we consume and believe in.
The scope of what I see as idols is broad, and any object in which people have faith, such as nations or currency exchange systems, can be a motif as an idol.
The idols of the 21st century are also our mirror images!

◆Meditation
The tacit knowledge shared by humankind is still in the process of being opened up in our time, and as a means of disclosing it in creation, I conduct visionary and language sessions using self-hypnosis, meditation and channeling. The work takes on life through my communion with the world and the beings that appear in it.

◆Works and Expressions
The cartoonish expression of sculpture starts with drawing. With digital modeling and plasticine, I pursue a contemporary primitive expression.
The paintings express the vision of meditation on the borderline between figuration and abstraction.
Conceptual works focus on the relationship between visual creation and action as the starting point for the creation of the work.
The result is a progression of works that focus on the notion that the creation of a process produces a result as a work of art.
He expresses the process of creation of the world mainly by using banknotes, currency system, Ukiyoe and classical art of the world as materials.

◆Tartaros
Tartaros is the name of the Greek god of the underworld. It is a world where life is born and returns to the earth, which appears commonly in myths around the world.
It implies that although civilizations are separated in the East and West, they are united in the depths of the earth, and are symbolically connected by Tartaros (depths of the earth).
This is my symbolic name to show the fundamental power of art from a perspective free from modern individualism.
