This artwork is created by painting an abstract image with oil paints and then applying UV printing on top of it.
It's a piece that combines the contrasting expressions of the textural qualities of oil painting and the flatness of UV printing, aiming to fuse the traditional art form of oil painting with the cutting-edge expression of UV printing.

Profile

2018年東京藝術大学美術学部絵画科油画専攻卒業。
卒業後はゲーム業界でデザイナーとしての活動を経て、現在はアートとイラストの2つの領域を横断した活動をおこなう。

「デジタルと物質の境界が曖味な現実社会だからこそ可能な絵画へのアプローチ」をコンセプトに、デジタル環境で描いた作品を一度出力し、その上に描画材を用いて手を加える手法やその他様々な技法を用いた絵画作品を制作、発表。
「ひろせ」名義でイラストレーターとしても多岐にわたる作品を手掛けており、国内外のゲームやライトノベル等の人気作品にイラストを提供するなど、イラストシーンを牽引する作家の一人としても注目が集まっている。
アーティスト・イラストレーターとしても「初音ミク」を描いた実績のある、稀有な存在である。

Profile

Graduated from the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, majoring in Oil Painting, in 2018.
After graduating, he worked as a designer in the game industry, and now works across the two fields of art and illustration.

Based on the concept of "an approach to painting that is only possible in a real world where the boundary between the digital and the physical is blurred," he creates and exhibits paintings using a variety of techniques, including printing out works created in a digital environment and then adding further refinements with painting materials.
Under the name "Hirose," he also works as an illustrator, working on a wide range of projects, providing illustrations for popular titles such as games and light novels both in Japan and abroad, and is garnering attention as one of the leading artists in the illustration scene.
As both an artist and illustrator, he is a rare presence, having previously illustrated Hatsune Miku.
