This work is a silkscreen edition (ED.70). Koichi Yairi creates distinctive visual worlds by referencing and recombining imagery drawn from contemporary visual culture, including cartoons, animation, photography, and printed media.

In this piece, a character reminiscent of classic animation quietly stands within a silent interior space. The surface incorporates halftone patterns and print-like textures, evoking the visual language of comics and printed matter.

The contrast between the familiar character and the slightly unsettling environment creates a unique atmosphere where nostalgia and unease coexist. Through such shifts and juxtapositions of imagery, Yairi reveals the memories and sensations hidden within the visual culture that surrounds us.
