Allowing the paint to flow and move freely.
This is a series of 20 drawings that I began creating without setting a predetermined goal. I made them with the desire to work more lightly than when facing a canvas, seeking to draw out unexpected colors and shapes that I could not have reached through my own will alone.
The overlapping of chance occurrences in these drawings, and the time spent scooping shapes out from them, were essential steps on the journey toward reaching the theme of this exhibition: "the birth of a world from nothingness." I hope you will experience the presence of these 20 small beginnings breathing on the paper.
