Created in 2020, this signed edition work (-/15) combines silkscreen and spray paint. Vivid color, repeated printed lines, and fine dispersions of sprayed pigment come together to create a composition charged with a light yet palpable sense of speed.
　
Upright figures layered in pink and yellow are juxtaposed with green figures crouching close to the ground. These contrasting postures suggest a continuous sequence—the body rising, sinking, and shifting toward its next movement—allowing time itself to unfold across the surface.
　
A pale turquoise field beneath the figures and the generous white space above give the densely layered forms room to breathe. Through vivid contrasts of color and afterimage-like repetitions of line, Obata rhythmically articulates his enduring exploration of the relationship between body and space.
