Created in 2020, this signed edition work (-/15) combines silkscreen and spray paint. Vivid lines of pink, green, and orange resonate against a yellow field stretching across the lower composition, giving the image a crisp and animated rhythm.
　
Upright forms and low, crouching figures overlap through subtly displaced contours. Their repeated lines evoke different moments of the body appearing at once, visualizing the trajectory of movement and introducing a sense of passing time into the still surface.
　
Expansive white space above contrasts with the warm yellow field below, while the figures move across the boundary between them. This tension between body and space, heightened by exuberant color and improvisational line, gives the work the distinctive vitality characteristic of Obata’s practice.
