雑草を描く中で、そこに潜む形や動きを一本の線として捉えています。線は植物の間を辿りながら、時に輪郭となり、時に風景から浮かび上がります。偶然の積み重ねの中に現れる形と、そこに加えられる意識とのあいだを探るシリーズです。

While painting clusters of plants, I capture the forms and movements hidden within them as a single line. The line traces its way through the plants, sometimes becoming an outline and at other times emerging from the landscape. This series explores the space between forms that emerge through the accumulation of chance and the intention brought to them.

Profile

1981年長野県生まれ、静岡県育ち。
2005年多摩美術大学美術学部絵画学科版画専攻卒業。

植物が繁る風景をモチーフに、落描きのような線で描かれた生き物を組み合わせた絵画を制作。誰も気に留めない草むらや庭の隅など、日常の風景の中に潜む異界の気配をテーマに制作を続けている。
