廣瀬は「A Life Without Reality」をテーマに、デジタルと現実の境界が曖昧になった現代の感覚を探究しています。本作でも、モニターや電子機器、ケーブル、玩具のような人工物に囲まれた少女が描かれ、デジタル世界を思わせる平面的なイメージの上へ、樹脂や顔料による立体的な物質が侵入します。情報として存在するイメージと、触れることのできる現実が、一つの画面上で複雑に交差しています。
鮮やかな色彩と緻密な線描による少女像に対し、周囲には機械や無数のオブジェクトが過剰なほど積み重なります。その表面を漂う絵具や樹脂は画面の内外をつなぎ、見る角度や光によって異なる表情を生み出します。デジタルイメージを物質として再構築する廣瀬の表現が凝縮された作品です。
Created in 2023, this unique work combines digital printing, acrylic, resin, pigment, acrylic panels, and other materials. Characteristic of Shoko Hirose’s mixed-media practice, digitally constructed imagery is overlaid with tangible, physical layers. The work is signed by the artist.
Under the concept A Life Without Reality, Hirose explores contemporary perception as the boundary between the digital and physical worlds becomes increasingly unstable. Here, a girl sits amid monitors, electronic equipment, cables, and toy-like objects, while three-dimensional deposits of resin and pigment intrude upon the digitally rendered image. Information and physical matter—two seemingly distinct forms of reality—coexist and intersect within a single pictorial space.
The precisely drawn figure and vivid palette contrast with the dense accumulation of machines and objects surrounding her. Paint and resin appear to drift across the image surface, connecting its illusionistic space with the physical world beyond it and shifting with light and viewpoint. The work encapsulates Hirose’s distinctive approach to reconstructing digital imagery as a tangible object.
