1988年京都府生まれ、大阪在住の画家・イラストレーター。2011年に京都精華大学デザイン学部ビジュアルデザイン学科イラストレーションコースを卒業。浮世絵など過去の日本美術から影響を受けつつ、現代的な感覚を織り込み、昔と今、時間のつながりを感じさせる作品を制作している。

人物や動植物、日常の情景をやわらかな色彩と装飾的な構成で描き、物語の一場面のような静かな余韻を生み出す。近年は個展や国内外アートフェアで作品を発表し、作品集『THE VISUAL 巻田はるか作品集 日々の花束』も刊行している。

Haruka Makita is a painter and illustrator born in Kyoto in 1988 and based in Osaka. She graduated from the Illustration Course, Department of Visual Design, Faculty of Design at Kyoto Seika University in 2011. Influenced by ukiyo-e and other forms of traditional Japanese art, she creates works that connect the past and present through a contemporary sensibility.

Her works depict figures, animals, plants, and everyday scenes with soft colors and decorative compositions, creating a quiet atmosphere reminiscent of fragments from a story. She has presented works in solo exhibitions and art fairs in Japan and abroad, and published her art book THE VISUAL Haruka Makita: Hibi no Hanataba.
