梅沢和木(うめざわ かずき)は1985年埼玉県生まれ。多摩美術大学美術学部絵画学科油画専攻卒業。インターネットやデジタル環境から生まれる膨大な視覚情報を絵画に取り込み、現代におけるイメージの在り方を探る作品を制作している。

梅沢は、ネット上に流通する画像やアニメーション、ゲームグラフィック、写真などの断片を引用しながら、それらを重層的に組み合わせることで独特の画面を構築する。デジタル空間に存在するイメージを手作業による絵画へと翻訳することで、オンラインとオフライン、仮想と現実の境界を横断する表現を展開している。

近年は国内外の展覧会やアートフェアで発表を続けており、現代の視覚文化と絵画の関係を問い直す作家として注目されている。

Kazuki Umezawa (born 1985 in Saitama, Japan) graduated from the Oil Painting Department at Tama Art University. His practice explores the nature of images in the digital age by incorporating the vast visual information circulating on the internet into painting.

Umezawa constructs layered compositions by referencing fragments of online imagery such as photographs, animation, game graphics, and other digital visuals. By translating images that exist in virtual space into hand-painted surfaces, he develops a painterly language that moves between online and offline realities, questioning the boundaries between the digital and the physical.

In recent years, he has presented his work widely in exhibitions and art fairs in Japan and internationally, gaining attention for his exploration of the relationship between contemporary visual culture and painting.
