天野タケル(アマノ タケル)は1977年東京都生まれ。ニューヨークを拠点に活動するアーティスト。日本の美術教育を受けた後、海外へ渡り、現在はニューヨークを中心に制作を行っている。

天野の作品は、ギリシャ神話や西洋美術の古典的モチーフを出発点としながら、日本のアニメやマンガ的な視覚言語を融合させた独自のスタイルで知られる。特に女神「ヴィーナス(Venus)」をモチーフとしたシリーズは代表的であり、古典彫刻の象徴性とポップカルチャーの感覚が交差する新しい女性像を提示している。

シンプルで力強い輪郭線、鮮やかな色彩、平面的な構成によって描かれる人物像は、古典と現代、東洋と西洋の文化が交差する視覚表現として国内外で高い評価を受けている。近年はアートフェアや海外ギャラリーでの展示を中心に、国際的に活動の幅を広げている。

Takeru Amano (born 1977 in Tokyo) is an artist based in New York. After receiving art training in Japan, he moved abroad and currently works primarily in New York.

Amano’s work is known for its unique style that merges classical Western motifs—particularly from Greek mythology—with the visual language of Japanese manga and animation. His recurring motif of the goddess Venus has become especially iconic, presenting a contemporary reinterpretation of classical beauty through a pop-cultural lens.

Characterized by bold outlines, vivid colors, and flattened compositions, his figures create a visual dialogue between classical and contemporary aesthetics, as well as between Eastern and Western cultural influences. Amano’s work has been widely exhibited internationally through galleries and art fairs in recent years.
