樫木知子(1982年京都市生まれ)は、京都市立芸術大学美術学部油画専攻を卒業後、同大学大学院を修了した作家です。絵画の表面を削り、塗り重ねる独自の技法により、滑らかな色層と繊細な線描を特徴とする人物像を描き出します。その表現は日本画や仏画を思わせる静謐さを持ち、内面性を感じさせる世界を構築しています。
主な個展に、2006年「萌芽のとき」(京都・ギャラリー16)、2009年「樫木知子」(オオタファインアーツ/東京)、2014年「樫木知子」(シンガポール)、2015年「樫木知子」(Galerie Nathalie Obadia/パリ)などがあります。2012年には京都市芸術新人賞を受賞しました。

Tomoko Kashiki (born 1982 in Kyoto, Japan) is an artist who graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts, where she also completed her postgraduate studies in painting. She employs a distinctive technique of sanding and repainting the surface of her canvases, creating smooth layers of color and refined linework. Her serene depictions of figures evoke a sense of introspection and are often compared to the aesthetics of traditional Japanese painting.
Major solo exhibitions include Time of Sprouting (Gallery 16, Kyoto, 2006), Tomoko Kashiki (Ota Fine Arts, Tokyo, 2009), Tomoko Kashiki (Singapore, 2014), and Tomoko Kashiki (Galerie Nathalie Obadia, Paris, 2015). She received the Kyoto City Emerging Artists Award in 2012.
