山田美優(やまだ みゆ)は1994年東京都生まれ。青山学院大学法学部卒業。現代社会のなかで揺れ動く人間の存在や不確実性を主題とし、都市と自然、自己と他者のあいだにある曖昧な境界を探る作品を制作している。

作品では、変化し続ける社会の狭間に生きる人々の浮遊感やつかみどころのなさが表現される。砂などの素材を用いることにより、自然と人工、物質と精神の中間的な状態を象徴的に示しながら、不安定で流動的な存在のあり方を可視化している。

近年はbiscuit galleryを中心に活動し、個展「Dawn + Drawn」(2023)、「Nowhere Land」(2025)を開催するなど、国内外で発表を続けている。

Miyu Yamada (born 1994, Tokyo) graduated from the Faculty of Law at Aoyama Gakuin University. Her work explores the unstable condition of human existence in contemporary society, focusing on ambiguous boundaries between urban and natural environments as well as between self and others.

Yamada’s works often evoke the sense of floating uncertainty experienced by people living in rapidly changing social conditions. By incorporating materials such as sand, she symbolically represents an intermediate state between nature and artificiality, materiality and spirituality, visualizing fluid and indeterminate modes of existence.

In recent years, she has exhibited primarily with biscuit gallery, including solo exhibitions such as Dawn + Drawn (2023) and Nowhere Land (2025), and continues to present her work both in Japan and internationally.
