Profile
Naoki Honjo (born January 28, 1978) is a Japanese photographer. Born in Tokyo, he graduated from the Department of Photography, Faculty of Art, Tokyo Polytechnic University, and completed his graduate studies in Media Arts at the same university's Graduate School of Art.
He is known for his technique of using the tilt of a large-format camera to create photographs with a shallow depth of field, making actual landscapes and people appear like miniature dioramas.
He won an Honorable Mention in the New Cosmos of Photography Awards in 2004, and the Kimura Ihei Award in 2006 for his series "small planet."
