IDEA Blue veil

This is the second painting in the IDEA series,
This painting was also inspired by the meditation on the glowing waterfall, and was completed in the process of accepting the picture as it appeared, while recalling the meditative state of the artist by looking at a photograph of the Northern Lights.
One of the artists I referred to in the process of creating the IDEA series
Morris Louis, an American abstract expressionist painter.
He painted in the kitchen of his small house on a canvas larger than the kitchen while his wife was at work.
In Japan, he is also famous for the cover painting of Haruki Murakami's novel. His paintings are deeply spiritual, disturbing, delicate, and dynamic, with transparent acrylic paint that he blots out as if it were poured on the canvas.
His words, "It is important to know where to stop when painting," particularly impressed me, and I kept them in mind during the creation of the IDEA series.
IDEA Blue veil was completed by washing off all the overdrawn layers and adjusting them again.
This view is like a planet, like glowing waves, and the sense of an unknown place is meditative.
I took the opportunity of publishing this work to write a series of art essays on the "note" online service.
I have started to write a series of art essays entitled "Rethinking Abstract Paintings" on the online service "note. You can read it at the following address.

Concept text of the solo exhibition "IDEA" in which this work was exhibited
TARTAROSJAPAN Solo Exhibition: Contemplation - Idea
Art has changed from modern art, which attempted to capture the close relationship between the visual perception of nature and everyday life and the spiritual experience of the individual, to contemporary art, which captures various aspects of the analysis and relationship between humans and society. In the interstices of this history, abstract painting was pioneered in the early 20th century by pioneers such as Kandinsky and Hilma Afklint, whose works have been reevaluated in recent years, with spirituality as their foundation.TARTAROSJAPAN, like its spirituality-based pioneers, has been working with paintings based on its own meditative experiences. They seem to explore the realm between reality and dreams, as if abstracting hallucinatory images.
This solo exhibition consists of a series of new abstract paintings that capture the visions that appear during meditation (contemplation = IDEA).
It is an attempt to bring spirituality, which has been left behind by scientific civilization, back to the forefront of contemporary art.
