とある島に伝わる牛と娘の悲恋の物語です。

I am making a series called “Folklore of the new adaptation”. It is a painting based on a story that I remade by myself. “Kangetsu Touge” is the third group of the series.

It is a story of a tragic love between a bull and a girl that is handed down in a certain island.

私は『文化の継承、変異』をメインテーマに制作しています。生命を繋ぐ為、私達は文化的情報を複製伝達し、時に変質させて伝承する活動を繰り返しています。新訳風土記集シリーズは、数多ある文化の中でも、共同体(生命の集合)の継承のために使用されてきた「物語」を主題にしています。風土に根差した物語は、共同体のアイデンティティや価値観の形成を導き、語り継ぐことによってコミュニティの存続に関わってきました。また、物語が今も尚世界中で受容され続けているのは、先達のメッセージに対する現代人の共感の証左といえるでしょう。物語の内奥に触ってしまった時、私の中に堆積した記憶や白昼夢が融合し、記号(キャラクター)たちが躍動します。

My main theme is "cultural inheritance and mutation".
In order to connect life, we repeat the activities of copying and transmitting cultural information, sometimes transforming it, and passing it on.
Among many cultures, the “Folklore of the new adaptation”series is based on the "story" that has been used for the inheritance of the community (aggregation of life).
Many stories in each region, rooted in the characteristics of nature and culture, have guided the formation and survival of community identities and values.
Moreover, the fact that those stories are still accepted around the world is a testament to modern human empathy for the message of our predecessor.
When I touch the inner part of the story, the memories and daydreams that have accumulated in me are fused , and the symbols (characters) begin to move.
