私は「ギミック」をテーマに作品を制作しています。
私の作品はよく「写真で見ると描かれている対象がはっきりと見えるが、肉眼で見るとぼやけた抽象的な絵に見える」と言われます。
これは偶然ではなく、描く対象をデジタル上で色分解し、色の網点を手描きする事で不揃いな色の集合体がぼやけた幻影のように見える仕掛けを絵に施しているからです。
はたして写真に写るものは肉眼で見えているのだろうか?
これは事実にかかわらずメディアから流れてくる情報だけで先入観を持ちやすい人間の本能に警鐘を投げかけています。
私は作品と向き合う行為を通して、「見る」ことが存在の確認になり得るのか、あるいは「見える」ことが存在の確認になり得るのかを皆さんに問いたいのです。

A gimmick” is the theme of my artwork.

It is often said that looking at the work through a photo, what is being drawn can be seen clearly. However, with the naked eye, it looks like a blurry and abstract picture.

This is not a coincidence. At first, I digitally disassemble the colors of what I draw. Then, I paint every dot of the colors by hand. It would be the gimmick that makes the clusters of irregular colors look like a blurred illusion.

What could people see with their naked eyes? My works sound an alarm bell on human instinct that tends to be prejudiced only by some information from mass media regardless of the facts.

I hope my works allow the viewers to realize how rarely they pay attention to the act of “seeing”. I aim to create artworks that let them have new questions by recognizing the importance of watching the object firmly with their own eyes and finding what it really is.
