This photo series is about BABI and HARUNO.
It happened more than 10 years ago now.

They were childhood friends and lived in Kumagaya, Saitama Prefecture.
They went to school together until junior high school, and then went to different schools from high school. After graduation, BABI stayed in Kumagaya, his hometown, while HARUNO left for Tokyo, and the two became estranged.

Seven years later, HARUNO quit his job and returned to Kumagaya to become an artist. He mainly made paintings and collages.

One day, BABI came to visit HARUNO in his studio.
However, he did not care about it because he did not have long to live anyway, and he smoked cigarettes, so when he saw BABI after a long time, his condition had worsened.

Worried about such a situation, HARUNO, who was not an expert in medical care, began to measure blood sugar levels and take care of his condition whenever BABI came to visit him at his studio.Eventually, HARUNO began asking BABI what he thought of his work and asking for advice, and this became a daily routine for both of them.HARUNO came up with the idea of making T-shirts with collages featuring BABI, and named the brand "BABI de Boon".

I was asked by HARUNO to take product photos for their T-shirts.
Originally, I would have just taken pictures of the T-shirts, but I was so envious of their cool relationship, a mixture of youth, art, friendship, and welfare, that I continued to take pictures of them.
