The architectural style of "Metabolism" proposed by Kisho Kurokawa and others in the 1960s applied the concept of biological metabolism to architecture, and was highly acclaimed by those seeking a new approach to the times for its flexibility and expandability, its ability to adapt to changing society and culture, and its philosophical appeal of allowing people to renovate buildings and create their own user-friendly environment. The building was highly valued by those who sought a new approach with the times because of its flexibility and expandability, and the ability to renovate the building to create a user-friendly environment.
However, the cultural value of the buildings has been emptied, and in recent years, due to durability and maintenance cost issues, many have been demolished, most recently the Nakagin Capsule Tower Building, a representative example of this architectural style.
This work was created with the hope that the value of the "Metabolism" architectural style will remain in the future.
