私に現れる共感覚という現象を通して感じとると、世界は輝く色に溢れて流動している。
説明のつかないそれらを何らかのエネルギー(熱量)と仮定してきたが、実際にそうであった場合、外殻を失った世界は、少なくとも視覚的には光で出来ている。
私を含め多くの人間が思いを馳せたことのある死後の光景というものはまさに光に溢れて力強く流動していると思う。
大抵の宗教者が「死をおそれるな」と言うが、そのことは個人的には受け入れることができると感じている。

大丸東京にて同時に展示する「Everyoung」と同じ世界観にある作品です。

When I feel through the phenomenon of synesthesia that appears to me, the world becomes fluid and overflowing with bright colors.

If this is actually the case, the world that has lost its outer shell is, at least visually, made of light.
I think that the scene after death, which many people, including myself, have thought about is filled with light and powerfully flowing.

Most of religious people say, ''Do not be afraid of death'' and that is the thing personally I can accept.

Profile

東京生まれ、カソリシズム(*Catholicism)と一種のペイガニズム(*Paganism)の狭間で育った共感覚者。
人生の一時期を過ごした諏訪地域に影響され、自然環境に見える色彩や流動を元に、山地や水辺のエネルギーを表現している。
現在は双子の山が題材の「Those Mountains」シリーズ、その中でも風景自身がスイッチバックと無限を描いたように見えたことから開始した「Switchback And Infinity」シリーズを主に制作中。

Profile

A synesthete who was born in Tokyo and grew up between Catholicism and a kind of Paganism.
Influenced by the Suwa area where he spent part of life, works express the energy of mountains and waterfronts based on the colors and fluidity of the natural environment.
Currently, he is mainly working on the "Those Mountains" series, which is based on twin mountains, and the "Switchback And Infinity" series, which was started because the landscape itself seemed to depict switchbacks and infinity.
