浮世絵紙幣絵画とは、文明、歴史、資本主義といった大きなテーマを浮世絵モチーフに、世界中の本物の紙幣でコラージュし、金銀箔で伝統的装飾性を加えた現代美術です。
日本のポップアートである浮世絵に、概念美術、日本の伝統工芸の技術で装飾性を加えたネオポップアート。

現金が消えデジタルマネーに変わる時代性、北斎が生きた江戸時代から変わらない日本の自然崇拝と、現代の経済信仰が重なり歴史や文明の変化を捉えようとしています。

同じ構図で摺り版の色違いが作られる浮世絵の引用により、構図は共通でありながら紙幣をコラージュした画面は、同じパターンは絶対に作れ無いAutomaticPaintingの手法と作品タイトルの紙幣番号により、全てユニークピース作品です。

原画説明

引用した浮世絵「神奈川沖浪裏」は、葛飾北斎の富嶽三十六景全46図中の1図。世界で知られる最も有名な日本美術。ジャポニズム、印象派等西洋美術史に与えた影響は大きく、現代美術においてもジュリアンオピーが浮世絵の影響を受けた作品を発表する等、現在も計り知れない影響力を持つ。

「神奈川沖浪裏」を日本人の自然信仰のイコン像の傑作として捉え、江戸時代と比較して現代信仰はお金。経済も生き物の様に変化し、時に人間を翻弄し、時にエネルギーを与える、そんな現代を現しています。

Ukiyoe banknote painting is a contemporary art form in which major themes such as civilization, history, and capitalism are collaged with real banknotes from around the world using ukiyoe motifs, and traditional decorative elements are added with gold and silver leaf.
Ukiyo-e, Japanese pop art, is a neo-pop art that adds decorative elements using the techniques of conceptual art and traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

The work attempts to capture the changes in history and civilization through the overlap of the zeitgeist, the disappearance of cash and the replacement of it with digital money, the unchanged nature worship of Japan since the Edo period when Hokusai lived, and the economic beliefs of today.

The collage of banknotes is a unique piece of artwork, which is created by quoting Ukiyo-e, a Japanese woodblock print technique in which different colors are used in the same composition, and the automatic painting technique in which the same pattern can never be created, and the banknote numbers in the title of the work.

Explanation of the original

The ukiyoe "Kanagawa Okinonamiura" is one of the 46 pictures of "Fugaku Sanjurokkei" by Katsushika Hokusai.It is the most famous Japanese artwork known in the world.It has had a great influence on Western art history, including Japonism and Impressionism, and even today has an immeasurable impact on contemporary art, as seen in Julian Opie's works influenced by Ukiyo-e.

He considers "Kanagawa Okinamiura" as a masterpiece of iconography of Japanese people's faith in nature.The economy is changing like a living creature, sometimes toying with people, sometimes giving them energy, and this is what the present age represents.

◆21世紀の偶像美術
私は最も古い美術、神々や精霊信仰を形にした偶像美術を、21世紀の美術に変換しています。
作品は古代から現代の無数のシンボルで構成され、世界の美術、神話、サブカルチャー、現代の通貨システムなど様々です。
合成された作品は、作者自身でも解けない謎の様になる傾向があります。
20世紀は神と科学が交代した時代です。では、21世紀に人間は何を信仰しているのでしょう。
信仰は社会やシステム、有名人や映画、ゲーム、キャラクター、ファッションやライフスタイルに姿を変え、人間はそれらを消費する事で信仰しています。
私が偶像と捉える範囲は広く、国家や通貨交換システムなど、人が信仰する対象は全て偶像としてモチーフになります。
21世紀の偶像とは私達の鏡像でもあるのです

◆瞑想
人類が共有する暗黙知は、現代に於いてまだ開かれつつある過程であり、創作においてそれを開示する手段として、私は自己催眠や瞑想、チャネリングを用いたビジョナリーセッション、言語セッションを行います。そこに現れる世界や存在と、私の交感作用で作品は命を持ちます。

◆作品と表現
彫刻の漫画的な表現は、ドローイングが起点です。デジタルモデリングと塑像で、現代のプリミティブな表現を追及しています。
絵画は瞑想の幻視を具象と抽象の境界線上で表現しています。
コンセプチャル作品では、作品を創造する起点としての視覚創造と行為の関係性に注目します。
結果、プロセスの創造が芸術作品としての結果を生むという概念に注目した作品を進行しています。
主に紙幣や通貨制度、浮世絵や世界の古典美術を素材に世界の生成プロセスについて表現しています。

◆タルタロス
タルタロスはギリシャ神話の、地底神の名称です。世界中の神話に共通して現れる生命が誕生し、還る世界です。
東西で文明は分離しても、地底では統合されたひとつの世界=地球文明がTARTAROS (地底)で繋がっている象徴が創作の背景にある事を暗示しています。
近代個人主義から解放された視点で美術の根源的な力を示すための私のシンボルネームです。

Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture　
As a figure prototype maker, he has created many prototypes for figure makers in Japan. In his 40s, a mystical experience through meditation led him to become a contemporary artist. He has exhibited a series of paintings and prints made of banknote material, idol sculptures, Automatic Painting, and meditative paintings on the themes of historical civilization and idolatry from a spiritual perspective.
His curatorial works include "VR Crafts: Today's Temple" and "Next Landscape," both of which utilize VR technology. Lives and works in Okinawa.

◆Iconic art of the 21st century
I am transforming the most ancient art, idol art in the form of belief in gods and spirits, into art of the 21st century.
The works are composed of a myriad of ancient and contemporary symbols, varying from world art, mythology, subcultures, and contemporary monetary systems.
The synthesized works tend to be like riddles that even the artist himself cannot solve.
The 20th century was a time when God and science took turns. So what do people believe in in the 21st century?
Faith is transformed into societies, systems, celebrities, movies, games, characters, fashions, and lifestyles, which we consume and believe in.
The scope of what I see as idols is broad, and any object in which people have faith, such as nations or currency exchange systems, can be a motif as an idol.
The idols of the 21st century are also our mirror images!

◆Meditation
The tacit knowledge shared by humankind is still in the process of being opened up in our time, and as a means of disclosing it in creation, I conduct visionary and language sessions using self-hypnosis, meditation and channeling. The work takes on life through my communion with the world and the beings that appear in it.

◆Works and Expressions
The cartoonish expression of sculpture starts with drawing. With digital modeling and plasticine, I pursue a contemporary primitive expression.
The paintings express the vision of meditation on the borderline between figuration and abstraction.
Conceptual works focus on the relationship between visual creation and action as the starting point for the creation of the work.
The result is a progression of works that focus on the notion that the creation of a process produces a result as a work of art.
He expresses the process of creation of the world mainly by using banknotes, currency system, Ukiyoe and classical art of the world as materials.

◆Tartaros
Tartaros is the name of the Greek god of the underworld. It is a world where life is born and returns to the earth, which appears commonly in myths around the world.
It implies that although civilizations are separated in the East and West, they are united in the depths of the earth, and are symbolically connected by Tartaros (depths of the earth).
This is my symbolic name to show the fundamental power of art from a perspective free from modern individualism.
