「まくらちゃん」とは、誰からも愛される存在であって欲しいとゆう思いから生まれたキャラクターです。
ベットで横になっていたとき、枕と私自身がまるで一体になっているような感覚になった事がきっかけで生まれました。

"Makura-chan" is a character born from the desire to be loved by everyone.

When I was lying in bed, I was born because I felt like the pillow and myself were one.

Profile

1989 年栃木県小山市出身。2013 年多摩美術大学大学院博士前期課程絵画専攻　修了。
お笑いタレント又吉直樹さんが執筆された芥川賞受賞作品「火花」や「人間」の装丁画を担当。また、まくらちゃんというキャラクターも描いている。

私は「見えるモノと見えないモノ」というコンセプトを軸に絵を見ている人の記憶を呼び起こし想像し"みる"という行為をすることで、今見えているモノとは違う見えていなかった何かに変容する絵を描いている。

Profile

Born in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture in 1989. Completed the Master's Program in Painting at Tama Art University Graduate School in 2013.

She illustrated the covers for the Akutagawa Prize-winning novels "Hibana" and "Ningen," written by comedian Naoki Matayoshi. She also creates the character "Makura-chan."

My work revolves around the concept of "visible and invisible things," creating paintings that evoke memories and imagination in the viewer, transforming what is currently visible into something previously unseen through the act of "seeing."
