またアパレルブランドとのコラボレーション、ロゴデザインやキャラクター制作など幅広く活動している
自身の制作では、キャラクターデザインをパクられた経験をもとに
コピーアンドペースト、トレース、盗作など
誰でも簡単に行う事ができる便利な現代社会へのアンチテーゼを唱えています。
便利になっていくことは素晴らしいと思います。
ですがそれと同じくらい「人間味」が失われつつある様に感じています。
人間らしく生きること、不便すらも愛おしく思えるように慎ましく生きて行きたい
そんなメッセージをコンセプトとして
マスキングテープ等は使わずシンプルに筆と絵の具で作品を制作しています。
1筆1筆心を込めて描くことで原画にしかない温かみを感じていただけたら幸いです。

Profile

Matthew Mallow is an artist and illustrator born in Japan in 1991.
He is known for his work on character design, merchandise,
and package design for the Financier specialty store "Butter Mass ter."
He has also worked on live merchandise for bands like
O4limited sazabys, tricot, Omedetaiatamadenaniyori,
and The Orchestra Tokyo.
Additionally, he has contributed artwork to
" NERENAI ALL night" by SARA-J, SKIBOI & FOFU.
Matthew Mallow has collaborated with various apparel brands and engaged in a wide range of activities,
including logo design and character creation.
In his own creative work,
he draws on his experience of having his character designs copied.
As a response to the ease with which copying, pasting, tracing,
and plagiarism can be done in today's convenient society,
he reproduces his original characters on canvas by hand.
He believes that the daily inconveniences and bothersome aspects of life might be
what truly enriches human existence.
