A line is drawn one by one, the stacked lines create a shape, and the interference of shapes creates space. Many colors are stacked on top of each other to create a color. Shapes made of lines are nested within each other. When there is an object straddling something else, the thing drawn straddling it will appear to be further back than the thing it straddles. This means that the outermost shapes of the nesting are further back. Smaller objects also appear to be at the back. This means that the innermost shapes of the nesting are further back. The existence of two spatialities within the painting makes the space complex.
Also, in two of the works, one is painted from the inside in order, and the other is painted from the outside in order, and by changing the size of the brush, larger objects appear to be closer to the front, making the space even more complex.
