ラフな動きを
ラフな線で描きたくて描いた1枚。

カチっと力が入った絵を描いている中、
時々力が抜けた絵が必要になる時がある。
表現の幅を広げられるように。

ドローイングの時に近いタッチを、
キャンバスでも描きたくて試してみた。
見事にタイトル通り「休憩中」のように
一息抜けた絵が仕上がった。

只今休憩中。

A single piece, drawn with loose lines
to capture a looseness in motion.

Amid the tension of polished, precise work,
there are moments when I need to let go—
to breathe.
To find balance.
To expand the range of my expression.

I wanted to bring the touch of my drawings—
those raw, fleeting strokes—
onto the canvas.
So I tried.

And just as the title suggests,
what emerged was a quiet pause,
a soft exhale.

Profile

Kana Arimura (born 1980 in Kagoshima, Japan) is an Japan painter.
She studied Design and Fine Art at Joshibi Unibersity (2008).

"I am exploring creating a world where "dreams and reality" are intertwined. Dreams, fantasy, madness, poisons, those that emerged in my head are real for me.
I draw girls and the world, life, death and everyday."

Kana Arimura has been winner of various awards, including Epson Color Imaging Contest Award 2007, and Graduation Works of Women's College of Art Female Art Collection Collection Award 2008, and jury special Award in the Act Art Award 2017.

Kana Arimura’s solo exhibitions include, ‘I will wake up from a dream someday’ (The Artcomplex Center of Tokyo, Tokyo, 2017), ‘Everyday Wonderland’ (Art Space Rashinban, Tokyo, 2014), and group exhibitions that include, ‘stella nova6’ (The Artcomplex Center of Tokyo, Tokyo, 2017), ‘Ueno Royal Museum Grand Prix Exhibition’ (The Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo, 2017), ‘Pop Up GENTLEMAN’ (Hankyu MEN’S Osaka, Osaka, 2017), ‘Shibucul’ (Parco Museum, Tokyo, 2012).
