「大切にしたい“いま”」というシリーズの中のひと作品。
これからの社会では、“フェイクとリアル”の境界がますます曖昧になっていくでしょう。
それでも、スマホの画面を離れ、目の前の人と向き合う時間こそ、私にとって最も大切な“リアル”です。日々の中で小さな幸福を丁寧に感じ取る友人をモデルに、「いま、この瞬間」を慈しむ気持ちを描きました。

This piece is part of the series “Cherishing the Now.”
In the society ahead, the line between fake and real will become increasingly blurred.
Even so, the moments when I look up from my phone and truly face the person in front of me ? those are, to me, the most precious kind of real.
Inspired by a friend who mindfully finds small joys in everyday life, I painted the feeling of treasuring “this very moment.”

Profile

Kana Arimura (born 1980 in Kagoshima, Japan) is an Japan painter.
She studied Design and Fine Art at Joshibi Unibersity (2008).

"I am exploring creating a world where "dreams and reality" are intertwined. Dreams, fantasy, madness, poisons, those that emerged in my head are real for me.
I draw girls and the world, life, death and everyday."

Kana Arimura has been winner of various awards, including Epson Color Imaging Contest Award 2007, and Graduation Works of Women's College of Art Female Art Collection Collection Award 2008, and jury special Award in the Act Art Award 2017.

Kana Arimura’s solo exhibitions include, ‘I will wake up from a dream someday’ (The Artcomplex Center of Tokyo, Tokyo, 2017), ‘Everyday Wonderland’ (Art Space Rashinban, Tokyo, 2014), and group exhibitions that include, ‘stella nova6’ (The Artcomplex Center of Tokyo, Tokyo, 2017), ‘Ueno Royal Museum Grand Prix Exhibition’ (The Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo, 2017), ‘Pop Up GENTLEMAN’ (Hankyu MEN’S Osaka, Osaka, 2017), ‘Shibucul’ (Parco Museum, Tokyo, 2012).
