Ibuki Minami is a contemporary artist born in Tokyo in 1995.
He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and currently works between Japan and the United States.

Minami views his creation process as a form of “coding,” developing and adapting his own algorithms to explore the essence of painting. Beginning with graph-based diagrams, he generates compositions in which geometric and organic forms intersect, creating layered networks of lines and color within a sophisticated abstract structure.

His major solo exhibitions include ALGORITHM (Seibu Shibuya Art Gallery, 2024), THE CORE OF PAINTING, THE ORIGIN OF THOUGHT (Korea, 2023), and BRAINSTORM (Matsuzakaya Art Gallery, 2023).
His works have been acquired by institutions and continue to gain recognition internationally.

Through a practice that navigates between intuition and logic, chance and necessity, abstraction and structure, Minami invites viewers to encounter what he calls the “core of art.”
