現在、東京を拠点に発表、制作活動を行う。
Statement
私は「油彩」を主なメディウムとして「日本」の歴史や文化、伝統や風習、宗教観、現代の社会問題、ポップカルチャーに至るまで多岐にわたるテーマを横断し、作品を制作しながら自身の文化的アイデンティティを探求している。
自国と向き合い、西洋から伝来したメディウムを用いて作品制作する行為は、日本が古来より外来の影響を受けながらも独自のかたちを形成してきた歴史、いわゆる「和魂洋才」の在り方のメタファーである。
油彩は西洋美術の文脈の中で発展してきたメディウムであるが、日本においては近代以降、伝統的な美意識、社会背景と交差しながら独自の展開を遂げてきた。私はその連続性の延長線上に自身の制作を位置づけ、日本的文脈の中で再解釈された油彩表現の可能性を検証している。

Profile
Born in Toyama Prefecture in 1999.
Graduated in 2022 from the Department of Painting (Oil Painting), Faculty of Fine Arts, Tama Art University.
Completed the Master’s Program (Painting, Oil Painting Research Area) at the same university in 2024.
Currently based in Tokyo, presenting and producing artworks.
Statement
Using oil painting as my primary medium, I create works that traverse a wide range of themes—from Japanese history, culture, traditions, customs, and religious perspectives to contemporary social issues and pop culture—while exploring my own cultural identity.
The act of confronting my own country and producing artworks with a medium transmitted from the West serves as a metaphor for Japan’s historical formation of a unique identity through the continual reception of external influences—often described as wakon yōsai (Japanese spirit with Western learning).
Although oil painting developed within the context of Western art, in Japan it has evolved uniquely since the modern era through intersections with traditional aesthetics and social backgrounds. I position my practice along this continuum, examining the possibilities of oil painting as reinterpreted within a Japanese cultural context.
