本作はアクリルなどで内部を固めているのではなく水槽の中は殆ど水で満たされている。
浮力を計算し水中で0gになるように設計された時計を、屈折率が水とほぼ同じゼリーで満たされた水槽に入れることで時計は実際に浮遊している。
時計には防水加工を施しているのに加え、水槽から取り出しての電池交換も可能なため針は半永久的に動き続ける。

浮力や屈折率という目に見えない力によって形而上的な風景を水槽の中に描き出す。それらの力が働く水槽の中では、重い壁掛け時計を浮かせることも水中でその針を動かし続けることも可能である。
鑑賞者は水槽の中の時計が刻む時間と、水槽の外の世界に流れる時間との間の断絶にささやかなパラドクスを見て取る。
