Profile

佐藤雅晴(さとうまさはる、1983年東京都生まれ)は、映像、ドローイング、インスタレーションを横断しながら、身体と時間、記憶と知覚の関係を探る現代美術作家。日常的な動作や反復行為を起点に、個人の経験がどのように蓄積され、他者と共有され得るのかを問い続けている。

映像を一度フレーム単位で分解し、それをトレースするようにドローイングへと変換する手法を特徴とし、時間の流れを「描く」行為として可視化する。映像と絵画、記録と身体表現のあいだを往還するその制作は、見ること・記すこと・記憶することの関係性を静かに再構築する試みでもある。

Profile

Masaharu Sato (born 1983, Tokyo) is a contemporary artist working across video, drawing, and installation, exploring the relationship between the body, time, memory, and perception.

Sato is known for a distinctive process in which he breaks down video footage frame by frame and translates it into drawing, transforming the flow of time into a physical and visual act. Moving between moving images and static marks, his practice reconsiders how actions are recorded, remembered, and shared. Through this method, he quietly reconstructs the act of seeing and the persistence of bodily experience.
