私は常々、ありふれた風景や人物をモチーフにした光景の中に、少しの違和感を込めることで、記憶や感情の揺らぎを描いてきました。今回は私にとってチャレンジングな構成で、わかりやすく時間や空間のズレのようなものを描きました。レトロな雰囲気の女性の腰から下は、何かが映り込んでいる金属的な素材になっています。懐かしいようなはたまた未来的なような、意味深いようで無意味なよう。鑑賞者の記憶や感情に重なり合う作品となることを願って。

I have always sought to portray the fluctuations of memory and emotion by introducing subtle unease into ordinary scenes of familiar landscapes and figures. In this work, I challenged myself with a new composition, depicting a more explicit sense of temporal and spatial distortion. The lower half of a retro-styled woman is rendered as a metallic surface reflecting something beyond. It feels at once nostalgic and futuristic, meaningful and meaningless. I hope this work resonates with viewers, overlapping with their own memories and emotions.

Profile

1966年東京生まれ。1988年武蔵野美術大学工芸工業デザイン学科(インテリアデザイン専攻)卒業。油彩画とリソグラフによる版画作品を制作し、個展やアートフェアへの出展をメインとしながらクライアントワークを行う。また、布による動物の壁掛けオブジェFabric trophyの制作など、様々な創作活動をしている。日常の何気ない風景や人物を描きながら、記憶の曖昧さや感情の残像を表現。光と影、安らかでありながら不穏、親密さと距離感といった二面性の共存を探求し、鑑賞者それぞれの記憶と重なり合うような作品を目指している。

Profile

Born in Tokyo in 1966. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Industrial, Interior, and Craft Design (Interior Design major) in 1988. I create oil paintings and risograph prints, presenting them mainly in solo exhibitions and art fairs, while also working on commissioned projects. I also engage in a variety of creative practices, such as producing “Fabric Trophy”—animal wall-mounted objects made of fabric. Through depicting ordinary everyday scenes and people, I express the ambiguity of memory and the lingering traces of emotion. My work explores the coexistence of dualities—light and shadow, serenity and unease, intimacy and distance—with the aim of resonating with the personal memories of each viewer.
