「家」という場所は、単なる建築物ではなく、そこに流れた時間や人々の記憶を静かに飲み込み、まるでひとつの生命体のよう。私は子供の頃から「家」の佇まいに強く惹かれてきました。
本作では、光と霞の中に佇む家の姿を通じ、「住まうもの」たちの気配や、歳月の重なりを描いています。それは現実の風景でありながら、私の内側にある「家」という象徴への思索でもあります。

A 'house' is more than just a structure; it quietly absorbs the passage of time and the memories of people, becoming almost like a living entity. Since childhood, I have been deeply drawn to the quiet presence of houses. In this work, through the image of a house standing amidst light and haze, I portray the lingering presence of those who dwell within and the layers of years gone by. While depicting a physical landscape, it is also a meditation on the house as a symbol within my own heart.

Profile

1966年東京生まれ。1988年武蔵野美術大学工芸工業デザイン学科(インテリアデザイン専攻)卒業。油彩画とリソグラフによる版画作品を制作し、個展やアートフェアへの出展をメインとしながらクライアントワークを行う。また、布による動物の壁掛けオブジェFabric trophyの制作など、様々な創作活動をしている。日常の何気ない風景や人物を描きながら、記憶の曖昧さや感情の残像を表現。光と影、安らかでありながら不穏、親密さと距離感といった二面性の共存を探求し、鑑賞者それぞれの記憶と重なり合うような作品を目指している。

Profile

Born in Tokyo in 1966. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Industrial, Interior, and Craft Design (Interior Design major) in 1988. I create oil paintings and risograph prints, presenting them mainly in solo exhibitions and art fairs, while also working on commissioned projects. I also engage in a variety of creative practices, such as producing “Fabric Trophy”—animal wall-mounted objects made of fabric. Through depicting ordinary everyday scenes and people, I express the ambiguity of memory and the lingering traces of emotion. My work explores the coexistence of dualities—light and shadow, serenity and unease, intimacy and distance—with the aim of resonating with the personal memories of each viewer.
