なにを描いたかよりも、なにも描かれていない余白のほうに私は強い興味を持っています。
まっさらな紙や買ったばかりのキャンバスに、不意に付いてしまった鉛筆の汚れや絵具の染みが私の想像力を加速させ、次に何をしたらいいのかを教えてくれます。それに従って私は自動筆記のように手を動かし、色を配置し、あるいは拭き取り、魅力的な空白を生み出すことに力を注いでいけばよいのです。

I am more interested in the blank spaces than in what was painted.
Pencil stains and paint spots that just adhere to a blank paper or a new canvas accelerates my imagination, it tells me what to do next. So, I follow it and move my hands automatically, places the colors and sometimes wipes them off.
In doing so, I am dedicated creating an attractive void.

1977年、岩手県出身
2008年、東京藝術大学美術学部絵画科油画専攻を卒業。
'08～'10年まで「ワンダーシード」にて連続入選し注目を集める。近年の個展に「Wanderlust」('16年、Pon Ding/台北)、「THE 4TH CROSSROADS HOTEL」('18年、銀座三越)、「FACELESS」('18年、Azabujuban Gallery)など。シンガポールや香港での展示参加も。
Independent TOKYO 2016 グランプリ受賞。
