リトグラフの制作に乗りにのっているMAYA MAXXの3連作の作品。
 濃厚な黒い猿たちの上から、強烈なファイアー レッドが二つの版を使って十字に刷り込まれています。十字架にも、標的の中心にも見えるこの十字線は、観るものにある種の緊張感を持って迫ってくる作品に仕上がっています。

Profile

Born in 1961, in Ehime. Graduated the Waseda University.
Starting her career as an artist at the age of 27, Maya Maxx is now appreciated by mane teenagers in Japan.

She has collaborated with many creators outside the art community.
Drawing the book sleeves for writers such as Banana Yoshimoto, Amy Yamada could be considered as an example.
Other than writing the book sleeves she has created record covers, published her own picture books titled "Orphan" at 1997.

Maya Maxx has also collaborated with the public many times in the past.
She has hosted a live painting event at various Universities.
In 2012 her collaboration with the Imabari community in Ehime was reported at the Ehime News paper.

Since 1993 she has annually hosted her solo exhibition, and since 2008 she has exhibited her works at the Kyoto museum of contemporary art.
