Profile

樹々を燃料としての炭ではなく創作するための炭焼きをする。炭窯でじっくりと炭化させた後に成形をし磨きあげることで輝きを纏った作品が生まれる。
私は無塗装の炭の美で、自然との共存や循環、再生をテーマに「人間がいて自然があるのではなく、自然の中の人間である」という認識を持ち、炭化技法が国際的なひとつの芸術表現として広まるよう創作活動をしている。

Profile

Charcoal is specially produced for ornamental use, which is completely different from charcoal for fuel.By slowly carbonizing it in a charcoal kiln, and then molding and polishing it, a work with brilliance is created.
I think that with the beauty of unpainted charcoal, with the theme of coexistence, circulation, and regeneration with nature, we have the recognition that "Not human beings and nature, but human beings in nature." and the carbonization technique is one of the international ones. I am working to spread the carbonization technique as an international artistic expression.
