白いキャンバスの中はアパートの空間。白いキャンバスの中はアパートの空間。　その中に収容されているイキモノたちが自由奔放に動き回っている。
新藤杏子が創りだす「にじみ」を生かしたタッチは、他では真似できない完成度である。
まるで計算されたような絶妙な絵具の混じり具合は新藤杏子の手を通して魔法のような一瞬の偶然性で作り上げている。
作品をよくよく見ると、イキモノたち全員に小さな字で番号が付けてある。
アパートの住人であるイキモノたちが、それぞれのキャラクターを主張しすぎない程度に共存しているように思える。

Shindo Kyoko's touch, which makes use of the "bleeding" she creates, is of a level of perfection that cannot be imitated anywhere else.
The exquisite blending of the paint, which seems almost calculated, is created by Shindo Kyoko's hands in a magical, fleeting moment of chance.
If you look closely at the work, you will see that all the living creatures have been assigned numbers in small letters.
The living creatures who live in the apartment seem to coexist without asserting their own personalities too much.

1982年生まれ。
彼女の描くモチーフは、想像上の「いきもの」である。
一見かわいらしい子供のように見えるが、小説、マンガ、おとぎ話などの日本のサブカルチャーや、彼女自身の実体験を下に、現代におけるもののあり方、人とのかかわり、混沌とした思考を、真白い紙に水彩で描ききる。
シェル賞入選、GEISAI TAIWAN #2やYoung Artist Japan 2011などでは審査員特別賞を受賞
